Kentfield and Greenbrae are neighboring communities known for idyllic neighborhoods and sweeping views of Mount Tamalpais and San Francisco Bay. Rolling hills and winding streets make for amazing biking, Mount Tamalpais offers scenic hiking, and Corte Madera Creek allows locals the pleasure of water recreation.

The main streets in Kentfield and Greenbrae are lined with cute boutiques, gift shops, and other small businesses, making it easy to find unique items and support local retailers. For a delicious meal, residents can choose from a range of local restaurants, from casual cafes to fine-dining establishments.
 

Some favorites include Guesthouse Marin, a trendy, fine-dining establishment serving seasonal dishes and clever cocktails. Visit on a Monday for their renowned prime rib dinner special, or come with friends and share a spread of starters, like their truffle-fried oysters and crispy brussels sprouts. Locals also love Marché Restaurant, which is known for its seasonally rotating menu, extensive wine list, and adorable outdoor patio.  
 
This area is also well known for its shopping. Bon Air Greenbrae is a popular shopping destination in downtown Greenbrae, consisting of outdoor community areas and a wide assortment of stores, restaurants, and boutiques. Oyama Sushi is tucked inside this plaza, serving fresh, sophisticated seafood seven days a week, making it a perfect place to stop for a bite while on a shopping trip.

There's always something to do in and around Kentfield and Greenbrae, no matter what vibe you’re looking for. For staying active and enjoying the wonderful weather of the surrounding climate, Bay Club Ross Valley is perfect, featuring crystalline pools and a variety of athletic courts. They also provide education and athletics for kids of all ages. There’s also Hal Brown Park at Creekside, located right along Corte Madera Creek, which runs through the area. It consists of 27 acres of well-maintained park space and includes extensive walking trails, an amphitheater for community events, picnic tables, playgrounds, and even a wellness grove filled with edible and medicinal plant life. 
 
Kentfield and Greenbrae also host community events that bring neighborhoods together. Bon Air Greenbrae is known for its dining and shopping, but they also hold events like the annual Bon Air Invitational Car Show, which offers visitors the chance to peruse gorgeous vintage cars, all in immaculate condition. Every year enthusiasts, young and old, love admiring the classic vehicles while listening to live music. The College of Marin is also situated in Kentfield, and locals love the opportunity to catch a sports game or see a show put on by their music, dance, or drama program.
